Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury on Tuesday urged all to have patience to see
development in the power sector saying that sometimes a bit of
load-shedding is good, or else, people will forget the progress achieved in electricity generation, UNB reported.
‘Load-shedding should be there to some extent to keep the past in mind. This is also a blessing of Allah…If there’s no load-shedding people will forget the improvement achieved by the time,’ he said.

The country’s foreign exchange reserve crossed $20-billion mark for the first time on Thursday as Bangladesh Bank has purchased US dollars worth $8.53 billion in 21 months to keep taka stable against greenback.
Economists say on Thursday that there was nothing to be happy overly with the high reserve as the soaring idle dollar indicated lower GDP growth amid slower business activities in the private sector.
